Winter sports are one of the main reasons to travel to Kyrgyzstan in winter—who doesn't like surreal landscapes and fresh untracked powder?

Outside of the capital Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan remains very underdeveloped, which is possibly the number one reason that makes the place so magical.
You can experience a nation largely untouched by western culture and the modernized world. Now add some of the most impressive mountains in the world, consistently dry and cold snowfall, and you’ll start to understand why we are telling you to fly halfway across the world to experience it.

After breakfast, adventure time! Ski-tour to yurt camp in Jyrgalan valley by two passes, accompanied by snowmobiles. The minibus with luggage will go to the camp along the main road. You will meet them at the Jyrgylan camp.

After breakfast and a potential ski touring morning, we will take another beautiful drive to Bishkek city. Arrival in Bishkek. Accommodation in a hotel. Farewell dinner in local café. Overnight at the hotel.

You should be preparing for savage temperatures and very basic food comparable to your beloved winter French Alps nights.
However, the staff is very conscious to keep the wood burners going and yurts warm even in the freezing cold nights. They are comfy, and you certainly won't go hungry!

Welcome home, pilgrims.
Your accommodation during the trip is a winter glamping base camp. A traditional Kyrgyz handcrafted Yurt stay.
These winterized yurt lodges feature wood/coal-fired stoves, solar lightings, native-style rugs on top of extremely soft floor beds, isolated wooden floors, game tables, and washstands in each yurt. We're saying, they are very basic but amazing.

Despite language barriers, Kyrgyztan's local ski and horseback guides are very kind. They will show you one of the unique places you will have ever skied.
The contrast between the snow and the striking hues of the cliffs is astounding. You might be the third first tourist that the horse trekking guides will ever guide.
And let's be honest, having a minor involvement in creating a new conscious and respectful tourist trade in some Kyrgyzstan villages feels pretty cool, humbling even.
